My passion for Skateboarding and how it has assisted me through my medical challenges has led me to open my own Skate company called Johno’s Skate Shop. The Barbados skate scene has a beautiful place to call home, the Kaitif Skatepark. Johno’s Skate Shop supports the local skate community through our initiative Johno Cares 2. This is where 5 percent of sales go towards kids that need help with medical bills and to also assist young up and coming skateboarders within the skateboard community with a development program. We have selected our first ambassador Tarryn Alleyne and gifted him with a development program. Tarryn has received assistance with product for eg skateboard decks, wheels, trucks etc. We also will be seeking sponsorship for overseas travel to competition internationally for our ambassadors. We will be selecting another ambassador very soon. Look out for our next named Skate Ambassadors to represent Johno’s Skate Shop. We are very excited to development of young people and hope that one day our Ambassadors will represent Barbados at the Olympics.
